About The Book
William Langford is a Harvard College student and the medical apprentice to Dr. Joseph Warren, one of Boston’s leading physicians and patriots, during a period of growing animosity and hostility between the American Colonies and the British Crown. Intelligent and motivated, the young Langford becomes Dr. Warren’s confidant and assistant during the treacherous times of the brewing revolution, and bears witness to the dramatic and sometimes horrific events that led Boston to face down the British forces. Langford relates his detailed involvement in the events between 1770 and 1775, beginning with an intense first-person account of the death of Christopher Seider through his harrowing narrative of the Pyrrhic victory at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
